Deleting your StatTrack account
This page describes how to delete your StatTrack account and the data associated with it. StatTrack is published by AWM Studios LLC, owned by Andy Mize.
Google Play asks every developer to publish this as a web page, reachable without installing the app, so that you can find it even if you have already uninstalled StatTrack. That is what this page is.
The short version
Open StatTrack and go to Settings → Account → Delete account. It happens immediately and cannot be undone.
If you no longer have the app, email privacy@stattrack.tech from the address you signed up with and we will delete the account for you.
Deleting from inside the app
- Open StatTrack and sign in, if you are not already.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Scroll to the Account section, where your email address is shown.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm when asked. The app returns you to the sign-up screen.
There is no waiting period and no cooling-off window. When the confirmation completes, it is already done.
Deleting by email
If you have uninstalled the app, or you cannot sign in, write to privacy@stattrack.tech from the email address the account uses.
We will delete the account and reply to confirm, normally within a few days and in any case within 30 days. We may need to check that the request really comes from the account holder before acting on it — asking you to reply from the registered address is usually the whole of that check.
Deleting by email removes your account from our systems, including anything cloud sync had copied there. It cannot remove the data held on your phone, because we have no access to it. To erase that, delete the app from your device, which takes everything StatTrack stored with it.
What gets deleted
From our systems — permanently, with no backup copy retained:
- Your account and email address
- The stored hash of your password
- The record of which version of our Terms and Privacy Policy you accepted, and when
- Your account creation date
That is everything we hold for an account without cloud sync, and it is the same list as Section 3 of the Privacy Policy.
If you subscribed to cloud sync, also from our systems:
Cloud sync is an optional subscription, off unless you turn it on. If you did turn it on, we also hold a copy of what you recorded, and deleting your account deletes all of it:
- Athlete names, birth years and profiles
- Teams, sports, seasons and positions
- Games, opponents, dates, locations and notes
- Every statistic you recorded, and any custom stats you created
- The photos and video you attached to a game, an athlete or a season
- Your theme and colour preferences
The database records are removed the instant the account goes. The photos and video are held separately, in Cloudflare R2 storage, so their deletion is recorded in the same step and then carried out against that storage immediately afterwards — a few moments later rather than in the same breath, and retried until it succeeds. This is described in Section 4 of the Privacy Policy.
If you never turned cloud sync on, none of the above was ever on our servers to delete. It was only ever on your phone.
From the device you delete the account on:
- Every athlete, team, season, game, statistic and note
- Every photo and video you attached in StatTrack
- Your saved sign-in and your app preferences
What is not deleted, and why
Data on your other devices. Deleting the account erases the records on the device you do it from, and erases our copy if you used cloud sync. It cannot reach a second phone you also used StatTrack on: every device keeps its own copy on the device itself, and that copy stays until you delete the app there too. Sync is a copy, never a move, so removing the copy on our servers never reaches back into the ones on your phones.
Photos in your camera roll. Photos you attached were copied into StatTrack. The originals in your phone's own photo library are yours and are left alone.
Ordinary server logs. Our hosting provider keeps routine security and reliability logs on its standard schedule. These are not used to build any profile of you and are not linked back to a deleted account.
There is no way to undo this
We cannot restore a deleted account. If you never used cloud sync we cannot restore your statistics either, because we never had a copy of them; if you did use it, our copy is deleted along with the account and there is no backup we can bring back. Deletion is immediate and final either way. If there is anything you want to keep, save it before you start.
